Tom Here!

Amy has completed the 5th Chemo treatment and has her sights set on May 28th, the 6th and final one!  As I type she is resting in bed, she is very exhausted!  Dr. Sjak-Shie is very pleased with her blood work and overall health.

Thanks so much for the comments, thoughts and prayers.  Things are going well and we thank God for Amy’s health.

Amy, get plenty of rest because before you know it the 6th treatment will be behind you and we will be at Super Summer praising the Lord! You know how awesome and exhausting that can be at the same time. Keep up the good work and I will keep praying.

    Love you,
    Vickie

SO happy to hear all is going well. I hate that you have to feel so lousy in the process though. I get excited and encouraged to read of all those praying for you and your family. I know it has to be such a blessing to you. Also happy to hear your parents are coming for a visit! That will be such a special time for all of you. Was so happy to get to talk to you the other day. Sorry I had to get off so quickly. Tell Katie I enjoyed her help in the kitchen for the senior banquet. Make sure you get the rest you need. There will be plenty to do when you are back on your feet. We will continue to keep you in our prayers.

Praise God you are almost done! It takes a special family to get through this as well as you have. It is true that God doesn’t put more on us that we can handle; and it shines through how strong in faith that your family is! One day you will look at these days and know that you are stronger because of it. Then you will be giving advise to those that are going through it! In Heaven there is no pain & suffering, I cannot wait!

    God Bless,

Tom and Amy…just thought i’d tell you that we have been praying for you. I’m glad you are blogging so we can track you journey. I’m also glad to have met you through the convention events…otherwise we wouldn’t have even known you. But since we know your family we have been able to lift you up in prayer. It is amazing how God works. We know he has blessed you thus far and we pray He continues to give you strength beyond human understanding.
    love you guys,
    Greg and Roxanne

    Hi Amy!

What great news about your treatments coming to an end! Praise God for his awesome healing powers and for giving you the courage and strength you need to get through this trying time.

I keep you in my prayers always, but have thought of you so often as I prepare for our upcoming class reunion. This has been alot of work, but such a fun time looking at so many photos that show me the young, innocence that we experienced as kids. Church camp photos, class photos, prom….the list goes on and on. I have also experienced many emotions seeing the closeness we all shared captured in a still photograph, but knowing how we have all taken different paths in life. While God offers so many paths, I pray that many of them are the right ones that will lead us back to each other someday. By reading your blog, I can see that you have touched so many lives. I feel like time and distance may separate us, but your friendship has touched my life. You are such a gift to those who know you!

I truly wish that you could be with us. Please know that you will be in our thoughts as we celebrate this weekend.

Tell your parents hello from P-Burg. Do me a favor and remind them of all the trouble you (we) caused “back in the day.” That will give you all something to talk about for awhile!

Take care, and trust in HIM!

    HUGS & PRAYERS,

    JAN

    Hey Dentons

Sorry I am just now blogging this week. It’s been one of those weeks and forgot that I have a computer at home. Amy, it was so awesome to be able to spend time with you last Thursday. It was just so nice. I hope we will be able to make time to do that even more. I know my life is going in many different circles as well as yours, but we have to make sure we make time for ourselves. Being a mom is so rewarding, but also exhausting. Thanks so much for YOUR encouragement during this time. Know I am thinking of you and good OLE Tommy D.

    Ky
