Why Blog March 2, 2008

amydenton @ 6:39 pm

AmyI am blogging to help me to walk through my current season of life.  I have Non Hodgkin Lymphoma.  God has blessed me with a wonderful family and some great friends.  I know I am a child of God, the Most High and I have been crafted for His glory and His pleasure.  My desire for this season of my life is much like my desire for my last season.  To love God and love people regardless of my circumstances.

    Hi Amy,
I finally got a chance to visit your blog and it is very cool. I am glad to hear that tom is doing the laundry. If you need some dishes to be done, bathrooms cleaned or maybe some ironing i can send richie over to do that. Maybe he can teach tom(haha). Amy we are so blessed to have such amazing husbands. I know some times we can take them for granted. If there is anything that your family needs let me know, anything, anytime. Last month katie explained to me that i am like her aunt. It was so sweet. I think of you guys like family and i love you all very much. I know that these times can be hard so if you need to send the kids over to (anut) rachels, just drop them off and we can have a slumper party,of course i wouldnt give them sugar and soda or keep them up until midnight! I will be praying for you and i love you!

    love rachel stone

Hey Girl! It’s so nice to finally reach you, it’s been a long long time since high school and to find out that you’re not to far away from Kansas City. whew! You’re probably wondering who this is….well my maiden name was Thompson, the pastor’s kid. Dad pastored Calvary Baptist Church there in P-burg and I attended the high school the 2nd semester of our sophmore year through our senior. We hung out, had classes together, worked together, did the cruisin main thing in your dad’s cougar. hehe :) Anyway, Stephanie sent me the link to your site and it’s GREAT! I’m so excited to hear and see what God has done in your life! I would love to talk to you and catch up, if you’re up to it. I want you to know that my church and family are praying for you and your family. If there is anything that we can do or that you need, please let me know. :) I know it’s been a long time and we’ve lost touch but we were always good friends in high school, I thought. Besides, it’s always fun to renew old friendships. hehe :) Anyway, here’s my home # ************ and my cell # *********.

    Take Care,
    Michelle

Hi Amy and family, Just heard from your mom today. It really didn’t seem fair for you to have such a diagnosis, until I read all the blogs and you and Tom’s responses. You are indeed a child of God!! Keep up your faith as it will help you get through lots of times through out your treatments. I am soo pleased that the center is so caring and giving you hope!! This is what I found so important to be given the hope! I let Wendy know of your fight today. I know you will be hearing from her soon. Mr October is sending his love!! Ha! Just keep being positive and think of the fun times.
As ever and thinking of you daily,
    Your other Mom, Marge Beckmann

Hi Amy, Just got around to checking your website. I knew you should be about done with your treatments, and that is exactly what I found!! Praise the Lord!! It probably seemed like the final day would never come. You went through a lot these past few month, I know! I especially will cherish the pic of you and your kids on your front porch!! They are quite relieved I’m sure! Hope the pet scans give the same opinion as the c-scans. What a wonderful test it is to put your mind at ease! Aug and I have been your supporters during your ordeal and hope all continues to improve. Gain your strength back and be back to normal
    Love you, Marge
